Understanding Error Codes

Info Codes

Informational messages that usually do not indicate a serious problem. Often cleared by resetting the appliance.

Warning Codes

Indicate a problem that needs attention. Some can be resolved with DIY troubleshooting, others require professional service.

Critical Codes

Serious issues that typically require professional repair. Do not attempt DIY fixes for critical errors.

Before Calling for Service

  • Document the code - Write down the exact error code before it clears
  • Try a reset - Turn off the circuit breaker for 60 seconds, then restore power
  • Note the circumstances - What was the appliance doing when the error appeared?
  • Check simple causes - Water supply, power connection, door closure
